To educate, showcase and promote artists in various disciplines that span the globe. This is a positive space. We live by the combined philosophy that "the job of the artist is to offer a sanctuary of beauty to an ugly world" (Jeff Goins) and that beauty is in the eye of the beholder (Margaret Wolfe Hungerford).
There are many purposes of this website and they include showcasing contemporary art from around the globe, being a springboard for artists to learn about the business side of art and as a beacon of positivity so that everyone feels welcome and can grow within their craft. Because positivity rocks.
While I by no means invented the magazine or online publication, I do however feel a need for an art publication that is a springboard for artists to be successful. I have been an artist since 2002. I am a recent MBA graduate where my Specialization was Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise. After receiving my degree in May 2020, I began researching different publications to submit my work to or platforms I should partake in that would increase the exposure for my artwork. I found very few viable avenues that were available. Learning business, entrepreneurship specifically was fascinating. I intend on applying the concepts and information learned from my courses to this online publication and website. Navigating the waters of the art world can be challenging at best and I hope this publication and website can be a beacon of hope for artists during these challenging times.
